Movie Posters
I was tasked with making a series of three posters of a movie of my choice to explore different minimalist techniques and the basic layout of a movie poster. The movie I chose is called The Florida Project. These layouts explore the relationship between color and negative space. Each design varies but still maintains a cohesive brand approach, using color and white space to guide the viewer’s eye through the composition.
I experimented with a vibrant palette inspired by the film’s aesthetic, along with imagery that reflects its mood and emotional tone. I wanted to capture the atmosphere of the film while emphasizing balance, contrast, and visual flow. I developed an understanding of movie poster design, including typography, title placement, and the inclusion of key elements such as imagery, credits, and taglines.
